MMC Australia is seeking qualified Boilermakers, Coded Welders and Mechanical Fitters for a water processing plant shutdown in the Northern Territory, expected to start in early November 2026.

The shutdown is expected to provide approximately 3–4 weeks of continuous work, with 12-hour shifts and rostered breaks agreed before mobilisation.

You will work as part of MMC’s site team on shutdown and maintenance activities relevant to your trade. Travel, accommodation and meals will be provided for the shutdown.

About you

- Australian-recognised trade qualification relevant to your role

- Experience in fixed plant shutdowns, maintenance or site projects
- For Coded Welders: relevant welding qualifications and demonstrated coded pipe welding experience; experience with 316 stainless steel and duplex stainless-steel piping is highly regarded





- Current Working Safely at Heights and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces training

- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and meet site mobilisation requirements

- Valid Australian Working Rights

- Available for the proposed early November start and the expected shutdown duration

Additional site experience, licences and tickets will be highly regarded.

Pay: $65 per hour flat rate for hours worked.

Location and availability: Applicants must be based in the Northern Territory or be prepared to relocate independently and be available locally to complete pre-employment and mobilisation requirements. MMC does not provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
