Anglicare Tasmania is seeking a permanent, full-time (76 hours fortnightly) Business Support Officer - Property & Fleet based in Launceston.

About the Role:

The Business Support Officer (Property & Fleet) provides practical and administrative support across Anglicare’s property and fleet operations.

This is a varied, hands-on role that will see you responding to property maintenance and repair requests, coordinating with tradespeople and contractors, supporting the servicing and maintenance of fleet vehicles, and assisting with insurance matters and claims. You will also help maintain property and fleet records, support compliance activities such as fire drills and registers, and assist with planning and organising building improvement and renovation projects.

The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable solving practical problems, and can confidently manage competing priorities while providing responsive support to staff, contractors and other stakeholders across the organisation.

The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, tradespeople, contractors, service providers, and clients.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Sound administrative skills and experience maintaining accurate records, databases, and documentation.
- Competence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new information systems and processes quickly.
- The ability to work independently, under limited supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.




- Robust organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A positive, practical, and customer-focused approach to resolving requests and supporting internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a clear and consistent approach to completing tasks.
- The confidence to identify and contribute to improvements in processes and service quality.
- An understanding of and alignment with Anglicare Tasmania’s Mission and values.

A willingness to roll up your sleeves and provide practical, hands-on support to keep property and fleet activities moving is crucial to success in this role. This includes the requirement to be able to lift and move items from time to time.

Applicants will also require a minimum of two years' experience in a business support role and/or other relevant workplace experience, together with a current Australian Driver Licence. The successful applicant will be comfortable working with limited day-to-day supervision and using initiative, discretion and judgement within established policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will be required to:





- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category);
- present a Probity or Schedule 1 National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical;
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.

On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
