Vorstrom Vacuum Equipment is looking for a Cadet Draftperson to join the design and engineering team in Warwick. This is an opportunity for someone leaving school or early in their career to start a career in engineering drafting. You will be supported and trained through a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting, with on-the-job training across the range of vacuum trucks and tankers. Applicants who are completing or have completed a Certificate IV are also encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation and revision of engineering drawings under supervision
- Learning to read and interpret drawings, specifications and bills of materials
- Using CAD software (Solidworks) to create and update drawings and models
- Complete a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting
- Liaise with the engineering, production and workshop teams
- Potential to support the commissioning team
About you
- School leavers (or soon to be) welcome
- Also open to those completing (or have completed) Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or similar)
- Attention to detail and desire to learn
- Comfortable using computers
- Previous CAD experience is a bonus (but not required)
- Able to work well in a team
- Interest in engineering/design/mechanical equipment
