At P and P Building Concepts, we don't just build houses; we craft high-end custom homes, premium extensions, and architectural renovations across Brisbane. We are a small, tight-knit team that values exceptional craftsmanship, open communication, and looking after our guys on site. Due to a solid, locked-in pipeline of local work, we are looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter / Leading Hand to become a core part of our crew.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role for a seasoned carpenter who still loves being on the tools but is ready to step up and run a site. You will be the go-to person on-site, balancing high-end carpentry with coordinating subbies and mentoring our apprentices.

Your day-to-day will involve:

- Leading from the front: Delivering exact framing, architectural timber features, lock-up, and high-end internal finishes.
- Site coordination: Running daily briefings, reading plans, scheduling sub-contractors, and keeping the job moving forward.
- Quality & Safety: Maintaining our strict eye for detail and ensuring the site is safe, clean, and compliant with WHS and QBCC standards.
- Client contact: Acting as the professional, on-site face of our business for clients and inspectors.

What We Are Looking For





- The Trade: Cert III in Carpentry with 1+ years of post-trade experience specifically in residential renovations, extensions, or custom builds.
- The Leadership: Proven ability to manage a small crew, coordinate subbies, and solve on-site problems practically.
- The Gear: A valid QLD driver’s licence, White Card, and a reliable, comprehensive kit of hand and power tools.
- The Attitude: Someone who takes pride in sharp finishes, communicates clearly, and wants to grow into a Site Manager role.
