As a Safe Start Case Manager, you will play a vital role in reducing infant removals and strengthening safe, nurturing family environments. You will work intensively with families experiencing complex challenges, using a therapeutic, strengths-based approach to support positive outcomes for infants and their caregivers.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, youth work or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with infants, children and families impacted by trauma, abuse, neglect or family violence
- Robust skills in assessment, case planning and interagency collaboration
- A commitment to strengths-based, trauma-informed and family-led practice
- Confidence engaging families who may be hesitant or resistant to support
- Knowledge of child development, attachment and child protection systems
