ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of engaging waste activations, primarily in the metro area. These events teach office workers how to reduce waste and recycle and motivate them to adopt more sustainable habits. The responsibilities include:

Pre-Activation:





· Loading and unloading all promotional materials from the van in the loading docks.

· Set up and pack down events at different locations in the metro area.

During Activation:

· Be the game host.

· Encourage people to engage and play the game, while learning along the way.

· Explain the rules and how to play, manage activity, record scores, contact prize winners at the end of the activation.

· Share insights into better recycling and waste behaviours to encourage change.

· Record results and share feedback.

· Take photos and video as appropriate and agreed upon with client.

Post Activation

· Pack down and load the van.

· Note any damage or issues and report them.

· Ensure feedback is shared.

REQUIREMENTS

· Event experience- minimum 2 years

· Great communication, listening and presentation skills.

· Can-do attitude, quick to learn and passionate about engaging with people

· Professional appearance

TERMS

Work is on a casual/contract basis, and events are held weekdays and generally Tuesday to Thursday. The average Friendly day starts at 9.00am to allow for set up. The activations typically run from 11 am - 2 pm, followed by bump out and packing van.

Hourly rate range: $35-$40 + super, to be negotiated based on experience
