Care & Co Sitters is a recent Melbourne babysitting agency preparing to commence bookings from January 2027. We are currently building our sitter team across Melbourne’s South East and Northern suburbs.
We are looking for reliable, responsible and friendly babysitters who enjoy working with children and want flexible casual work.
About the role
As a Care & Co sitter, you will be matched with local families based on your availability, location and experience. Bookings will generally take place in the family’s home and may include weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend work.
You are able to provide your availability and accept bookings that suit your schedule. As a casual employee, hours will vary depending on bookings and client demand.
Your responsibilities may include
- Supervising and caring for children
- Preparing or serving simple meals and snacks
- Bottle feeding and nappy changes where required
- Bath and bedtime routines
- Homework assistance
- Playing games and organising age-appropriate activities
- Following family routines and care instructions
- Maintaining a safe environment for children
- Communicating professionally with parents and Care & Co
- Reporting any incidents or concerns to Care & Co
What we’re looking for
Applicants should be
- Reliable and punctual
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Confident caring for children
- Friendly and professional
- Able to communicate well with parents
- Comfortable working independently in family homes
- Available for some afternoon, evening and/or weekend bookings
Requirements Before commencing bookings,
successful applicants will need:
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Proof of identity
- Suitable references
- Successful Care & Co interview and induction
Previous babysitting, nannying, childcare, teaching, coaching or other experience working with children is highly regarded.
Pay
Casual pay is based on the applicable award classification, employee age and type of shift.
Current Level 2 casual weekday rates range from approximately $19.56–$33.85 per hour depending on age, with higher rates applying for Saturdays, Sundays and applicable penalty periods.
Superannuation is paid where required.
