CASUAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE & GARDENING WORKER
CMS Property Maintenance is seeking a reliable, practical and hardworking Property Maintenance and Gardening Worker to join our growing team, servicing Bunbury and the surrounding South West region. This is a casual position with hours varying according to workload. Applicants must have broad availability between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with some additional hours upon request.
There is genuine potential for increasingly consistent hours for the right person as the business continues to grow.
ABOUT THE ROLE The position involves varied property-maintenance work for private and NDIS clients. You will frequently work independently, attend different properties and enter clients’ homes, so professionalism, reliability and respectful conduct are essential. Duties may include: Lawn mowing, edging and general lawn care
- Pruning, weeding and garden maintenance
- Pressure washing and outdoor cleaning
- General property repairs and handyman tasks
- Operating and caring for power tools and gardening equipment
- Completing job notes and reporting any issues or additional work required
- Communicating professionally with clients and office staff
- Maintaining safe, clean and tidy work areas
ABOUT YOU
- We are looking for someone who: Is dependable, punctual and takes pride in completing work properly
- Can work safely and efficiently without constant supervision
- Has previous gardening, landscaping, maintenance, labouring or handyman experience
- Is confident using common hand tools, power tools and garden equipment
- Communicates respectfully with clients,
including older people and people with disability
- Is physically capable of undertaking outdoor and manual work
- Can follow job instructions and provide transparent updates after each job
- Has reliable transport; access to a suitable vehicle is highly regarded
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Current Australian driver’s licence, preferably manual
- White Card
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Full working rights in Australia
- Availability between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
