Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your passion for teaching, mentoring and leadership - helping nurses build confidence, strengthen their skills and deliver safe, high-quality care to our patients and community.
About The Opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, supportive and learner-centred culture within the ICU. You will work alongside nursing staff, managers and education teams to identify learning needs and deliver innovative education that translates directly into clinical practice.
Role
This position plays a key role in building clinical capability, fostering a culture of learning, and empowering ICU nurses to deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
In this role you will:
- Lead and deliver engaging clinical education, training and competency assessment.
- Mentor and support nurses to build confidence, capability and clinical excellence.
- Collaborate with the ICU team to identify learning needs and strengthen workforce development.
- Champion best practice through clinical leadership, innovation and a culture of continuous learning.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and a current driver’s licence.
- Recent advanced-level ICU/Critical Care experience with strong clinical expertise.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in critical care, clinical nursing, education or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in clinical education, assessment and mentoring, with a passion for developing others.
- Strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills, with a commitment to best practice and continuous learning.
