Responsibilities

- Assist the head chef with preparing and cooking menu items to spec
- Maintain high standards in food presentation and timing
- Keep stock levels in check and communicate shortages
- Ensure the kitchen stays clean, safe, and organised
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Work as part of a team-oriented, fast-paced team
- Manage the kitchen effectively and efficiently in absence of the head chef
- Monitor quality and consistency of dishes
- Help train and support current kitchen team members
- Uphold hygiene standards and kitchen compliance




- Contribute to efficient stock and labour cost management

Requirements
- Proven experience as a restaurant cook or chef level
- Strong understanding of food and safety standards
- Full working rights in Australia
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills/proficient in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure
- Great time and food preperation management skills in quiet and/or busy periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (essential)

Job Type: Contract – minimum 15 hours per week
