Indian Yarri Pty Ltd t/a Baba Sweetsis located at Shop 4/176 Elevation Bvd, Craigieburn VIC 3064. It is a restaurant that serves and sells authentic handmade Indian desserts as well as savory Indian delicacies.

Position

We are seeking highly professional, motivated and enthusiastic individual with relevant qualification to come and join our team as the Full-time Chef/Cook.

Skills and Experience

- Prepare dishes as per the menu and customer needs
- Unpacking, inspecting, and dating deliveries of vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients before placing in-store refrigerator or freezer.
- Arranging food to comply with first-in-first-out standards and checking stored foods for freshness
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently,



using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Sharpen choppers, knives, slicers, and grating machines
- Preparing and organizing grills and buffets to make sure in working order.
- Check that all cooking utensils and equipment are clean and ready for a full shift.
- Prepare sauces and curries

Qualification

- Certificate IV or above in the related field.
- Three years of on-the-job experience

Remuneration Successful candidate will be paid the salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.
