About the role

An established civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join its Darwin-based operations. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of civil construction works, working closely with Project Managers, engineers, operators, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will be a practical, hands-on supervisor with strong civil construction experience, the ability to lead crews effectively and a focus on keeping works progressing safely and productively.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities.
- Lead and manage site crews, operators and subcontractors.
- Plan daily works and coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources.
- Work closely with Project Managers and engineers to deliver works to program.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Monitor productivity, progress and quality of works.
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site safety activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries.
- Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.

About you

- Proven experience supervising civil construction works.
- Strong experience across road construction,



bulk and detailed earthworks, drainage and associated civil works.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and levels.
- Experience coordinating crews, plant and subcontractors.
- Robust understanding of WHS, environmental and quality requirements.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify problems and make practical decisions on site.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Construction White Card.
