Salary: AUD$80,000 per annum plus super

About the Role

MistaBoo SH Pty Ltd (MistaBoo Sushi on Train – Springfield) is seeking a reliable and motivated Commercial Cook to join our busy Japanese restaurant team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking and plating Japanese cuisine in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards, while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, season and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi ingredients, hot meals, tempura, grilled items and side dishes.
- Follow established recipes, portion control requirements and presentation standards
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor and regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment
- Check food quality, freshness and appropriate storage
- Clean and sanitise kitchen work areas,



equipment and utensils in accordance with food safety requirements
- Assist with stock monitoring, stock rotation and receiving kitchen deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work cooperatively with other kitchen and front-of-house team members

Requirements & Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification, OR at least 2 years of relevant full-time experience as a Cook
- Sound knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene and commercial cooking practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Valuable communication skills
- Valid working rights in Australia
