Reshaping Futures: Addiction Medicine Consultant Opportunity

As an Addiction Medicine Consultant with SALHN, you'll have the chance to make a profound impact on people experiencing complex alcohol or other drug problems. Utilizing your expertise, you'll provide direct clinical services, develop medical programs, and contribute to teaching and mentoring future medical professionals. This rewarding role allows you to shape brighter futures while advancing the field of addiction medicine.

About the role:

Reporting to the local Clinic Manager, this role is responsible for the provision of effective and appropriate medical services to clients of DASSA. Duties for the role will include:

- provision of direct clinical services,
- involvement in the development of appropriate medical programs,
- involvement in the teaching of medical staff, medical and other students,
- provision of specialist medical advice to internal and external clinicians and organizations,
- participation in clinical audit and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities and research and continuous medical education activities

About you:

- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Fellowship- Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine and registrable with the Medical Board Of Australia/AHPRA as an Addiction Medicine Specialist,




- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Addiction Medicine,
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
