About the Role

Perilya is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Contracts Supervisor to join our Maintenance Department at our Broken Hill operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee a diverse range of maintenance contractors supporting our mobile fleet and mining operations while playing a key role in maintaining safety, compliance, and equipment reliability.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating contractor activities, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all maintenance work.

As the Contracts Supervisor, you will be the primary point of contact for maintenance contractors working on-site. You will ensure contractors are appropriately inducted, compliant with site requirements, and performing work in accordance with Perilya's safety and maintenance standards.

This hands-on role combines contractor leadership, maintenance coordination, safety oversight, and administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with both internal teams and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate contractors undertaking servicing, maintenance, repairs, inspections, and project work on the mobile fleet.

- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently,



and to required quality standards.

- Promote and uphold Perilya's safety culture, policies, and procedures.

- Conduct contractor inductions, onboarding, and compliance checks.

- Perform field inspections and quality assurance audits of completed work.

- Coordinate contractor maintenance activities with Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, and Stores personnel.

- Raise and manage work orders and purchase orders within the maintenance management system.

- Maintain accurate records relating to contractor performance, compliance, inspections, and maintenance activities.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

- Provide leadership and guidance to contractors while fostering strong working relationships.

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- A trade qualification in a mechanical, electrical, or maintenance-related discipline.

- Experience supervising contractors within a mining, maintenance, heavy industry, or similar environment.

- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for heavy mobile equipment.

- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.

- Experience using maintenance management systems and work order processes.

- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.





- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Qualifications

- Previous mining industry experience.

- Supervisor or leadership training.

- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.

- Experience with maintenance software such as SAP, Pronto, or equivalent systems.
