We are currently partnering with a well-established Australian steel and building products business to recruit an experienced Customer Service Manager for their operation in Campbelltown.

This is a hands-on leadership role managing an established team of six within a busy, high-volume environment. We are specifically looking for someone with current Customer Service Management experience, ideally gained within steel, roofing, building products, manufacturing, wholesale or distribution.

The important parts

- $90,000 - $100,000 Super, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
- Permanent full-time opportunity
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Campbelltown location
- Lead an established Customer Service team of six
- High-volume environment processing approximately 100 orders per day
- Hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on customer relationships
- Some after-hours availability may occasionally be required

What you will be required to do

- Lead, support and develop a team of six customer service professionals
- Manage daily workloads and ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently
- Monitor team KPIs covering order accuracy, performance and staff retention
- Coach and train team members and identify development opportunities
- Conduct regular team and toolbox meetings
- Build strong relationships with a broad customer base
- Personally manage escalated enquiries, complex orders and customer issues
- Work closely with sales, warehouse, production and transport teams
- Drive improvements across customer service processes and workflows
- Maintain high service standards within a fast-paced, technical environment
- Develop a strong understanding of products, customers and internal processes





To be successful in the role you will

- Be currently working in a Customer Service Manager or equivalent leadership position
- Have proven experience managing and developing a customer service team
- Bring solid people management, coaching and relationship-building skills
- Have experience managing team KPIs and performance
- Be comfortable operating within a high-volume order environment
- Have strong attention to detail and a focus on order accuracy
- Be confident managing difficult conversations and customer escalations
- Possess strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Be a hands-on leader who is willing to work alongside the team
- Ideally have experience within steel, roofing, building products, manufacturing, wholesale or distribution
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP/order management systems will be highly regarded
