Destination Manager – APAC | Spanish Required

As part of our international expansion, we are looking for a Destination Manager – APAC to help us build and develop our portfolio of tours, activities and attractions across key destinations in Asia-Pacific. The position will be based in Australia and will report directly to our Head of Supply – EMEA & APAC .
Spanish is required for this role , as you will work closely with our Latin American-based team.
The Challenge
You will be responsible for developing Tur.com’s supply across a portfolio of APAC destinations, identifying the experiences with the greatest commercial potential, building relationships with their operators and negotiating competitive commercial agreements.
We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the Tours, Activities & Attractions industry in APAC , previous experience at an OTA or specialized distributor, and an active network of relationships with attractions and operators across the region.
Above all, we are looking for someone with initiative, drive and the ability to make things happen.
Someone who understands the market, knows where the opportunities are and who to speak to, and is willing to go the extra mile to secure the best products, commercial terms and opportunities for Tur.com.
You will have a high level of autonomy to develop your markets and move opportunities forward, while working closely with the Head of Supply – EMEA & APAC to define priorities, discuss opportunities and agree on strategy and next steps.
Although you will have a defined portfolio of destinations, we operate as one Supply team . Our objectives are shared, and we expect everyone to collaborate and support other markets when needed to achieve the team’s overall goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop Tur.com’s portfolio across an assigned group of APAC destinations.
- Identify priority attractions, tours, activities and operators across your markets.
- Prospect, negotiate and contract new suppliers, from initial outreach through to closing the agreement.
- Leverage and expand your existing network to develop relationships with leading attractions and operators across your assigned markets.
- Build long-term commercial relationships with attractions, museums, landmarks, theme parks, sightseeing operators,
excursion providers and experience businesses.
- Negotiate commissions, net rates, inventory, availability, payment terms, cancellation policies, promotions and other commercial conditions.
- Proactively seek opportunities to secure the best products and commercial terms for Tur.com, both with new suppliers and existing partners.
- Work with reservation systems, APIs, channel managers and other common connectivity models within the industry to facilitate and scale product onboarding.
- Maintain, together with the Head of Supply, a explicit and up-to-date contracting pipeline, including agreed priorities and next steps.
- Collaborate with other members of the Supply team and support contracting efforts in other destinations when global team priorities require it.
- Represent Tur.com in supplier meetings, trade shows and international industry events.
Requirements
- Previous experience working for an OTA or specialist distributor in Tours, Activities & Attractions .
- Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements with Tours, Activities & Attractions suppliers across APAC markets.
- An active network of relationships with attractions, operators and other relevant stakeholders in the APAC travel experiences industry.
- Deep knowledge of the key products, operators and commercial dynamics of one or more APAC markets.
- Proven ability to leverage existing relationships, generate new commercial opportunities and open doors with strategic suppliers.
- Strong ability to build commercial relationships and independently manage negotiations from first contact through to contract.
- A highly proactive, commercially minded and results-oriented approach, with the ability to identify opportunities, take ownership and drive them through to completion without waiting for instructions on every next step.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team and collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of reservation systems, channel managers, APIs and connectivity models used in the Tours, Activities & Attractions industry.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written – mandatory.
- Based in Australia , with availability to travel internationally.

- Experience developing and contracting supply across multiple APAC markets.
- Established relationships with major attractions, experience groups and strategic operators across the region.
- Experience working in international, rapid-growing companies.
- Knowledge of Asian languages, particularly those relevant to the markets under your responsibility.

The Profile We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who takes initiative and turns opportunities into results .
For this role, we are particularly interested in someone who already understands the Tours, Activities & Attractions industry across APAC in depth.
Someone who understands the nuances of their markets, knows the major industry players and has a network that allows them to identify opportunities and start building commercial relationships from day one.
We want someone with initiative, energy and commercial ambition who does not wait for opportunities to come to them, but actively goes out and creates them.
Someone capable of identifying the products we need, finding the right decision-maker, using their network to open doors, creating new relationships where necessary, negotiating effectively and persevering until the best possible agreement is reached.
We want someone who takes ownership of their destinations and targets, is comfortable taking initiative and operating autonomously, but also understands when to discuss an opportunity, ask for support or challenge a decision with the Head of Supply.
Autonomy does not mean working in isolation.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a genuine team mindset .
You will have your own destinations and responsibilities, but you will be part of a team with shared goals. If, at any given time, the biggest opportunity or priority sits in another market, we expect you to be willing to collaborate wherever you can create the greatest impact.
