/n ME Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Paediatrician to lead paediatric services at Mount Isa Hospital as Director of Paediatrics. This is a unique prospect to influence the development and expansion of paediatric care in a diverse and remote region. /n

/n As Director of Paediatrics, you will: /n /n

- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services. /n
- Manage inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, outreach services, and emergency retrieval coordination. /n
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists, registrars, and interns. /n
- Foster teaching, training, and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University. /n
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.



/n About You/n

/n /n

- FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent, with current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for full, unrestricted specialist registration. /n
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions. /n
- Proven leadership skills, preferably with Head of Department experience. /n
- Commitment to culturally protected care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. /n
- Ability to work in a regional and remote setting. /n What’s on Offer/n
