About the Role

We are seeking reliable, caring and experienced Support Workers to join our team. This role involves supporting NDIS participants in their homes and in the community to build independence, maintain daily routines, stay safe, and work towards their personal goals.

The right person will be kind, patient, respectful and able to work as part of a flexible 24/7 support team. This role requires staff who are confident working in participant homes, following support plans, completing documentation, and providing consistent, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

- Support workers may be required to assist participants with:
- Daily living routines, including cooking, cleaning, personal care and hygiene
- Community access, appointments, shopping and social activities
- Medication support, where trained and authorised
- Mealtime support and safe eating practices, where required
- Emotional regulation, communication and positive behaviour support strategies
- Overnight support, including passive sleepover shifts and active night shifts
- Transport, where appropriate
- Following individual support plans, risk assessments and emergency procedures
- Completing explicit and accurate shift notes and incident reports
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, choice and control at all times

Roster Requirements

- Applicants must be available to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, which may include:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon and evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Public holiday shifts
- Passive sleepover shifts




- Short-notice cover when reasonably available
- Flexibility is important, as participant needs may change from time to time.

Essential Requirements Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check, if required
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Valid driver’s licence
- Reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Manual handling training, or willingness to complete
- Medication training, or willingness to complete if required
- Relevant experience in disability, aged care, mental health, youth work, community services or a similar support role
- Two recent professional references

Desirable

- Experience with high intensity supports
- Experience with behaviours of concern
- Experience with children or young people
- Experience with PEG feeding, medication, continence care or mobility support
- Knowledge of the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards
