SPS is seeking an experienced and motivatedConcrete Managerto join our team and take the lead across our concrete operations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for bringing our people together, driving operational performance and strengthen the way our team works together.

About the Role

Southern Pacific Sands is a leading supplier of quality washed silica sand, bio-retention filtration medium, soil products and quality ready mixed concrete, servicing Brisbane and Southeast Queensland.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the concrete team, working closely with our wider operations, sales, allocations and technical teams to keep things running smoothly.

This role is all about people. You'll build strong relationships,develop your teamand give peoplethe support andaccountability they needto succeed.

You'll have theopportunity to buildstrong relationships, developyour team andshape a positive, high-performing cultureacross the concreteoperation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop the Concrete 2IC, batchers and agitator drivers
- Build strong relationships and a positive team culture across our 2 concrete plants
- Build strong employeeengagement and fostera positive teamenvironment
- Set clear expectationsand support theteam to achievehigh standards ofperformance, safety andconduct
- Coach and develop employees to take greater ownership of their roles
- Manage performance issues and difficult conversations when required
- Coordinate day-to-day concrete operations and production requirements
- Work closely with Sales, Allocations,



Technical and Operations
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure company standards are maintained
- Monitor operational performance, productivity and downtime
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication and team performance
- Support the continued growth and development of the concrete operation

- Proven experience leading a frontline, operational or mobile workforce
- Solid communication, relationship-building and leadership skills
- A genuine passion for developing people and building great teams
- Experience improving employee engagement and retention
- Confidence to set expectations and hold people accountable
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisational and operational skills
- Experience in transport, logistics, construction, manufacturing, resources or a similar environment
- Concrete industry experienceis highly regarded, with experience incivil, construction, mining, quarrying, orsimilar operational environmentsalso valued. Aboveall, we're lookingfor a strongpeople leader whoknows how tobuild relationships, developpeople and leada team effectively.
