Darben Tiling is a family-owned business based on the Sunshine Coast, known for delivering high-end, detail-driven tiling work.

From bathroom renovations and feature walls to full-home tiling, pool surrounds, waterproofing, screeding, and epoxy grout – we take pride in our precision, reliability, and down-to-earth approach. We’re growing fast and looking for a skilled, motivated tiler to join our team and help us deliver the kind of quality finish we’d be proud to have in our own homes.

Here’s what’s on offer when you join our team!

Get paid $48/hr to $55/hr + super (incl. holiday pay, sick pay etc.)

Work standard hours or choose to enjoy a 4-day work week – every week! That’s 9.5hr days from Mon – Thur then the long weekend is yours to enjoy!

Boost your earnings with optional overtime at a 1.5x rate available Monday to Friday

Permanent, stable full-time position with an established company

Monthly team catch up with an early knock off pub lunch or late start brekky – time and food paid for by us!

Mid-year and EOY paid RDO for a team activity (think golf, fishing, clay shooting – we brainstorm and plan in advance)

Here’s what you’ll be doing day-to-day

You’ll run your own day with full support from our office team and systems.



We kick off with a quick daily check-in to line up the plan and make sure everyone’s got what they need.

Site preparation (review plans, confirm layouts, prep surfaces, complete tile set outs)

Apply waterproofing to standard

Install all types of tiles with precision

Screed like a boss!

Grout, seal, and finish to a high standard

Keep sites tidy and handover ready

Track progress and upload job notes/photos via ServiceM8 + log hours worked

Communicate with the team, plan ahead, and help apprentices when needed

Here’s what the ideal applicant looks like

Qualified tiler with a minimum of 5 years’ experience

Confident with setting out, screeding (including shower bases and large floors), and achieving a high-end finish

Takes pride in their workmanship and leaves a clean, professional site

Able to plan ahead, communicate with the team, and flag any issues early

Experience with using job management software (ideally ServiceM8) to log hours, upload photos, and track progress of jobs

Works well independently but values being part of a close-knit, supportive crew

Shows up with a excellent, positive attitude, ready to get stuck in and help deliver top-quality work

Open to mentoring apprentices or working alongside others on site

Takes initiative, manages time well, and stays on top of materials and site needs

Wants to grow within a team that backs them with systems, structure, and support
