The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Melbourne and Victoria
- Prospect and engage with importers, exporters and businesses requiring international freight forwarding solutions
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Promote SIFA's Air Freight, Sea Freight and logistics solutions
- Develop opportunities on trade lanes between Australia and Europe, particularly France and Italy
- Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits and sales meetings
- Prepare commercial proposals and follow up on quotations and opportunities
- Work closely with our operations and customer service teams to deliver high-quality solutions to customers
- Maintain and develop a strong sales pipeline
- Represent SIFA at industry events, networking events and business associations

About You

We are looking for someone who is proactive, personable and genuinely enjoys business development.
The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or international transport
- Experience in an outside sales, business development or customer-facing role
- A strong understanding of international freight forwarding, ideally including Air and Sea Freight
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills




- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
- The ability to work independently and develop your own customer portfolio
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- A valid Australian driver's licence

An Italian background, knowledge of the Italian business community, or Italian language skills would be highly regarded, particularly given our ambition to further develop trade between Italy and Australia.

French language skills or experience with the French market would also be an advantage.
