Campbellfield
E-commerce & Marketing Coordinator
Plenty River RV | Campbellfield, VIC
Full time | On-Site
About Plenty River RV
Plenty River RV is a growing Melbourne-based caravan and RV parts business based in Campbellfield, supplying both retail customers and caravan manufacturers across Australia.
Alongside our wholesale operations, we run a growing e-commerce business offering caravan plumbing products, appliances, water systems, fittings, accessories, tapware and our own Plenty River product range.
We're a small, ambitious and rapid-moving business. We're constantly adding products, improving our website, refining our systems and looking for smarter ways to grow.
We're now looking for an E-commerce & Marketing Coordinator who can take an active role across both the commercial and operational sides of our online business.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on e-commerce role covering Shopify, digital marketing, content, product management, inventory, fulfilment and process improvement.
We're looking for someone who understands that successful e-commerce isn't just about running ads or posting on social media — it's about the entire customer journey and everything happening behind the scenes to support it.
One day you might be creating a new product page in Shopify and optimising it for Google. The next you could be preparing an email campaign, reviewing website performance, creating content, troubleshooting an inventory issue or helping us improve a Starshipit fulfilment process.
For the right person, that's what makes the role interesting.
What You'll Be Doing
E-commerce & Shopify
You'll help manage and continually improve our Shopify store, including:
- Creating and maintaining products, variants, collections and product information.
- Building high-quality, SEO-friendly product pages.
- Managing product images, descriptions, specifications and merchandising.
- Maintaining SKUs, metafields and other product data.
- Improving website navigation, collections and the overall customer experience.
- Identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates and average order value.
- Managing promotions, discount codes and online campaigns.
- Troubleshooting Shopify issues and working with apps and integrations.
- Assisting with eBay and Amazon sales channels.
- Keeping the website accurate, current and commercially focused.
Strong hands-on Shopify experience is important for this role.
Digital Marketing
You'll help us grow Plenty River RV's online presence and sales through a mix of digital channels, including:
- Email marketing and customer campaigns.
- SEO and organic search optimisation.
- Google Shopping and Google Ads support.
- Social media management.
- Content planning and creation.
- Promotions and product launches.
- Website merchandising and seasonal campaigns.
- Google Business Profile management.
- Basic reporting and analysis of marketing performance.
- Identifying opportunities to increase traffic, conversions and repeat purchases.
Experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, GA4 and email marketing platforms would be highly regarded. You don't need to be an expert in every marketing channel,
but you should understand the fundamentals of e-commerce marketing and be comfortable learning and experimenting.
Content & Creative
You'll help create content that makes our products and brand look professional online.
This may include
- Product photography and basic video content.
- Editing product images.
- Creating simple graphics and promotional assets.
- Writing product descriptions and website copy.
- Creating email campaigns.
- Producing social media content.
- Creating educational or informational content around our products.
Experience with tools such as Canva would be beneficial. We're not looking for a full-time graphic designer or photographer — just someone with a good eye who is comfortable creating quality everyday e-commerce content.
E-commerce Operations
You'll also be involved in the operational side of our online store.
This includes
- Managing the flow of orders between Shopify, Cin7 Core and Starshipit.
- Maintaining accurate product and inventory information.
- Managing SKUs, barcodes, product dimensions, weights and bin locations.
- Troubleshooting inventory and order syncing issues.
- Helping improve picking, packing and dispatch processes.
- Maintaining and improving our Starshipit setup.
- Helping implement barcode scanning and more efficient warehouse workflows.
- Reviewing shipping rules and packaging processes.
- Assisting with freight and courier-related issues.
Experience with Cin7 Core and Starshipit would be a major advantage, but experience with similar inventory, ERP, WMS or shipping platforms is also valuable. Systems, Automation & Process Improvement
We're particularly interested in someone who enjoys finding better ways of doing things.
We want someone who doesn't simply accept a repetitive manual process because "that's how it's always been done."
You'll be encouraged to
- Identify inefficient or repetitive processes.
- Research apps, integrations and automation opportunities.
- Improve how our different e-commerce systems work together.
- Use AI and automation tools where they can genuinely save time.
- Help improve warehouse and fulfilment workflows.
- Create simple SOPs and processes for recurring tasks.
- Suggest new tools, technology and ideas that could help the business grow.
About You Ideally, you'll have at least 3 years of hands-on e-commerce experience, preferably within a product-based online business.
We're looking for someone who has experience across both e-commerce and digital marketing, rather than someone whose background is exclusively in one narrow area.
You'll ideally have
- Strong hands-on Shopify experience.
- A positive understanding of e-commerce merchandising and conversion.
- Experience creating and managing products online.
- Understanding of SEO and how to optimise product/category pages.
- Experience with email marketing.
- Understanding of Google Shopping,
Google Ads and/or Merchant Center.
- Experience with social media and content creation.
- Basic photography, video or graphic-design skills.
- Experience with inventory and fulfilment systems.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent written communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confidence learning new technology and software.
- A genuine interest in e-commerce and digital technology.
Experience or interest in the caravan, RV, camping, automotive or outdoor industries would be a bonus, but isn't essential. You'll Thrive Here If...
This is probably the most important part.
Plenty River RV is a small business, not a large corporate e-commerce department.
We don't have separate people for every tiny function, and we're looking for someone who sees that as a positive.
You'll thrive here if you're someone who is:
Agile and adaptable. You're comfortable switching between different types of work and adjusting when priorities change.
Hands-on. If something needs doing, you're willing to get involved rather than saying it falls outside your .
Proactive. You don't wait to be told about every opportunity or problem. If you notice something that could be improved, you bring it up.
Resourceful. If you don't know how to do something, you're comfortable researching it, testing solutions and figuring it out.
Curious. You genuinely enjoy e-commerce and like learning about new tools, apps, platforms and technology.
Commercially minded. You understand that ultimately we're trying to grow sales, improve margins, provide a better customer experience and operate more efficiently.
Creative and analytical. You're equally comfortable thinking about how a product page looks and examining why it isn't converting.
Comfortable wearing multiple hats. You might work on Shopify, an email campaign, product photography, Starshipit and a warehouse process in the same week.
We're looking for someone who will grow with the business and help shape the role, rather than someone who needs a rigid list of responsibilities and a highly structured corporate workplace.
Why Join Plenty River RV?
This is an opportunity to have a meaningful role in a growing Australian e-commerce business.
Because we're a smaller team, you'll have considerably more ownership and exposure than you might have in a large organisation.
You'll have the opportunity to work across the entire e-commerce operation — from attracting a customer through Google or email, to the website experience they receive, through to the systems that ultimately get their order out the door.
You'll also have the freedom to suggest ideas, test new approaches and make genuine improvements without having to work through layers of corporate approval.
For someone who enjoys e-commerce and likes variety, problem-solving and having ownership over their work, there's a lot of opportunity to make this role your own.
If you're passionate about e-commerce, comfortable working across both marketing and operations, and excited by the idea of helping a growing small business become better at what it does, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: $68,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
