Xavier College is seeking dedicated Education Support Officers (ESO) – Curriculum (Grade 2). As a Curriculum ESO joining the founding team of our brand new our Riverlea Park (R-6) campus, you will provide classroom support to teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive learning setting while contributing to the Catholic identity, Salesian ethos and mission of the College.

Commencing January 2027, this permanent, part-time role is worked Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 3.00pm, across a 40-week school year.

As ESO – Curriculum, you will:

- Assist students individually and in small groups, supporting their overall learning experience under teacher direction.
- Assist teachers with the implementation of structured learning programs using pre-prepared resources.
- Support students with identified additional needs in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on learning or behavioural needs.
- Assist teachers with supervision during excursions, sports, school events, and yard duty, as required.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and the College community.
- Assist students with additional needs, including personal care, where required.
- Support general classroom operations, including preparation of materials and administrative tasks.

- A Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role
- Demonstrated ability to support students across literacy, numeracy, and other learning areas
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with students, staff, and the wider College community
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively within a team environment, following direction and contributing to shared outcomes
- Approachable and proactive, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all members of the College community
