Recruit with Me has partnered with RMA Engineers to appoint a new Financial Accountant to their team.

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting involved, likes solving problems, and takes pride in delivering quality work. You'll bring solid technical foundations, but we're equally interested in someone who asks questions, looks for better ways of doing things and wants to keep expanding their skillset.

Long term, you’ll work closely with senior leaders, contribute to commercial decision‑making, gain exposure to lending and funding arrangements, support growth initiatives, and help shape the financial future of the organisation.

building the commercial insight, systems understanding and strategic perspective needed to step into larger and more influential Accounting & Finance roles in the future.

Our Finance team is innovative -we are embracing new systems including AI and work closely with our broader team.

What you'll be doing

You'll be involved in every aspect of the finance function, combining day‑to‑day ownership with strategic business support.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Translating financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences. This includes assisting business leaders in understanding the financial implications of operational decisions.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and growth initiatives.
- Maintaining strong financial controls, compliance, and governance practices.
- Managing taxation and statutory reporting obligations.
- Monitoring cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
- Supporting banking relationships, lending facilities, and funding requirements.
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and process improvements across the business.
- Contributing to strategic discussions and helping leaders understand the financial impact of business decisions.
- Coaching and supporting members of the finance and corporate services teams.




- Continuously improving systems, processes, and reporting capabilities.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both the detail and the bigger picture.

About you

The skills you bring…

- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification (or be working towards completion).
- Experience in a taxation and/or commercial accounting position.
- Strong financial reporting and analytical capability.
- A sound understanding of compliance, taxation, and financial governance requirements.
- A commercial mindset and, ideally, experience with innovation and process optimisation
- The ability to communicate confidently with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
- Robust organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
