Job Description

Snuggles Early Learning Centre provides a welcoming, inclusive and play-based early learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, independence and a lifelong enthusiasm for learning. We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic full-time Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. Key Responsibilities As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for:

- Designing, planning and delivering learning programs across both indoor and outdoor environments, using a range of resources, materials and equipment to support children's learning and development.
- Providing varied learning experiences and activities that encourage the development of children's fine and gross motor skills, social cooperation, self-confidence and understanding.
- Supporting children's language and communication development through storytelling, imaginative and role play, songs, rhymes, individual conversations and group discussions.
- Observing and assessing children to monitor their developmental progress and identify possible signs of illness, emotional concerns or developmental difficulties.
- Monitoring children's nutritional, health, wellbeing and safety needs and recognising factors that may affect their learning, development or participation.
- Communicating regularly with parents and families about their child's learning, development, achievements and progress.
- Participating in parent meetings and interviews,



as well as relevant staff and committee meetings.
- Contributing to appropriate family and community support activities and programs.
- Providing guidance, support and supervision to student and pre-service teachers undertaking skilled placements at the centre.

Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants must:

- Hold a relevant Bachelor's degree, Graduate Diploma or higher qualification in

Early Childhood Education or a closely related recognised early childhood teaching qualification.

- Have at least one year of full-time work experience as an

Early Childhood Teacher, or equivalent relevant experience in the same occupation.

- Hold current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of early childhood education, child development and age-appropriate educational programming.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families and other members of the education team.

The Role This is a full-time Early Childhood Teacher position based at our Glen Waverley centre. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with our educators and teaching team to provide engaging learning experiences and support the educational, developmental, social and wellbeing needs of children in our care.
