We are looking for a full time Assistant Manager/Senior Case Worker to join our Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program based in Wentworth 5 days per week.

Reporting to and working in association with the SHLV manager – the SHLV assistant manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the SHLV service in Far West.

The role is dedicated to building a cohesive, responsive and client focused team delivering best practice support services, whilst developing, implementing and maintaining local community networks, programs and plans.

This position works alongside the other Plus Community DV teams and other services to ensure consistency of standards and to reinforce Plus Community’s mission, values, objectives and expectations to internal and external stakeholders.

This position is responsible for overseeing the team at a local level, building a highly skilled and cooperative team to deliver best practice case management, and develop relationships with other service providers and stakeholders. The role will also have a small case load,



where you will be responsible for delivering high quality case management activities to enable women and children to remain safe and free from domestic violence in their own home, and remain so over time. The program focuses on early intervention and prevention principles to prevent homelessness and enable women and children to experience long term stability in housing, income, employment, education, and social support networks.

You will ensure effective service referral pathways to facilitate women’s ability to stay home safely after separation from domestic violence, and to raise awareness of alternative accommodation options for the excluded person.

To be successful, you will require robust experience in Community Services, ideally within the DFV Sector; proven ability to professionally and sensitively deliver client services to clients experiencing emotional distress; well-developed communication skills; effective team management and demonstrated experience in identifying key stakeholders and establishing effective relationships.

This is a full time position (5 days a week) on a Maximum Term Contract until 30th June 2030.

The Assistant Manager / Senior Case Worker is classified as a Level 6.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $115,337 gross per annum. This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award.
