The Role:
- Maintaining and repairing heavy diesel vehicles, including trucks, buses, and mobile plant equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Working in a safety-conscious, team-oriented environment
- Accurately documenting repairs and maintenance records
- Contribute to the maintenance and repair of diesel vehicles, ensuring they are in top condition for various industry applications
- Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues, showcasing your problem-solving skills
- Work within a collaborative team setting, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive continuous improvement
Preferred Requirements:
- Diesel Mechanics with 3+ years' experience working on heavy vehicles, mobile plant, or fleet equipment
- Candidates with a positive skills assessment from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) or Vetassess (highly regarded)
- Mechanics with strong hands-on experience and the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel engines and systems
- Driver's license with the ability to operate and manoeuvre large vehicles safely and efficiently
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
