About the role

Make a difference in your community by delivering engaging first aid training that equips people with essential life‑saving skills. As a Casual Trainer, you will facilitate accredited and non‑accredited training programs, assess learner competency, and deliver high‑quality training in line with national standards and organisational requirements. You will bring relevant qualifications, industry experience, and a passion for education, wellbeing, and empowering individuals to build confidence, resilience, and safer communities.

Ideal candidate

- Passion for training and education in first aid, health, safety, mental health, or a related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent.
- Practical industry experience and/or qualifications in first aid or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
- Professional, customer‑focused approach and ability to represent St John positively.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and sound basic IT skills.
- Commitment to workplace health, safety, and continuous learning.
- Current driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout Victoria, including regional areas.
