We are seeking an experienced EHS Consultant to join a major data centre project in Sydney, working directly on the client side and supporting the delivery of a complex, high-profile critical infrastructure development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS professional who enjoys working in a rapid-paced construction environment and can provide strong leadership, assurance and practical EHS support across the project lifecycle.

The Role

As the EHS Consultant, you will work closely with the client project team, principal contractors and key stakeholders to ensure robust environmental, health and safety standards are maintained throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities will include

- Providing client-side EHS leadership, advice and assurance across the project.
- Monitoring contractor and subcontractor compliance with project EHS requirements.
- Conducting site inspections, audits, observations and assurance activities.
- Reviewing SWMS, risk assessments, management plans and other EHS documentation.
- Supporting incident investigations, corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Identifying project risks and providing practical solutions to improve EHS performance.
- Monitoring compliance with Australian WHS legislation, regulations, standards and project requirements.
- Participating in project meetings and providing EHS reporting and performance updates.




- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS systems and processes.
- Promoting a strong safety culture across the project workforce.
- Working collaboratively with construction, engineering, commissioning and project management teams.

About You We are looking for an experienced EHS professional with:
- Demonstrated experience in construction, major projects or critical infrastructure.
- Previous experience working in an EHS/HSE/WHS advisory or consultancy capacity.
- Data centre experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and complex project environments.
- Strong skills in auditing, assurance, risk management and incident investigation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to engage with senior project stakeholders as well as site-based teams.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to EHS management.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant WHS qualifications and/or professional accreditation are desirable.
