About the role

Australian Electrical Services Pty Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Apprentice to join our specialised team in Myaree, WA The electrical apprenticeship is focused on all industrial electrical applications. You will work alongside a small team of experienced electricians, while developing skills in building switchboards, automation and control systems, industrial electrical installations and maintenance, PLC programming and fault-finding, electrical schematics, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. You will also gain specialised skills with radio remote-control systems.

You will become part of a small, dedicated, and specialised team that values teamwork and a positive work workplace. We encourage mature age applicants

Key responsibilities

- Develop skills in industrial automation and control systems
- Perform industrial electrical installations and maintenance
- Learn PLC programming and fault-finding
- Work with radio remote-control systems and programming
- Work with electrical schematics and control-panel wiring
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Develop all skills associated with an electrical apprenticeship

About you

- A current manual driver's licence with a clean driving record held for at least 4 years
- Reliable personal transport
- The right to work in Australia
- The ability to pass any required pre-employment checks including a police clearance, and drug & alcohol screening
- Reliable and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in electrical work, electronics,



and industrial automation
- Comfort working in a workshop or site environment
- Initiative and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills
- An interest in control systems and technology
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to workplace safety
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in the electrical industry
