The Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth across our campuses, an exciting opportunity is available at our Sydney CBD campus for experienced and passionate ELICOS Teachers to join our exceptional team of supportive professionals.

We are seeking energetic, motivated, confident and outgoing teachers with experience delivering high-quality, compliant and engaging General English classes in both morning and evening sessions.

Key Responsibilities • Develop learning materials, assessment tasks and teaching programs as required.

- Maintain a tracking system for student assessments, follow up students who do not submit assessments and escalate matters to the ELICOS Coordinator where appropriate.
- Maintain the highest standard of education and training in the classroom, as evidenced through student satisfaction surveys.
- Participate in Institute activities that promote excellence in classroom training and delivery.
- Diagnosing students’ particular English-language difficulties
- Using different teaching methods and providing individual or small-group instruction




- Participate in moderation activities and contribute to reviews of teaching and assessment materials.
- Contribute to the development of new learning and assessment materials.
- Undertake relevant professional development to expand professional and personal skills, and share key learning for the benefit of the Institute.
- Conduct teaching, deliver assessments and maintain records in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and Institute policies.
- Maintain current professional knowledge and skills in TESOL or the relevant teaching discipline.
- Assist the Institute to maintain compliance with NEAS requirements, the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the National Standards for ELICOS Providers and the National Code 2018.

- Solid presentation skills. Knowledge and Experience • Sound knowledge of English language programs, the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the National Standards for ELICOS Providers, the National Code 2018 and NEAS Australia requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the design, delivery and assessment of English education programs.
- Knowledge of NEAS requirements for the registration and delivery of English language programs.
- Previous experience in management and administration is highly desirable.
