About the Role In this role you will work within our electrical integration team to assemble, wire and test electrical switchboards.
Responsibilities will include
- Assembly and wiring of LV switchboards, including main switchboards, distribution boards and control panels.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, layout drawings, and component schedules.
- Install and connect electrical components such as circuit breakers, contactors, and relays, meters
- Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing of switchboards.
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000, 61439 and other relevant standards.
- Identify and resolve wiring or component issues during build and testing phases.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate builds and timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe work workplace and adhere to B&R;’s safety policies and procedures.
- Support the training of electrical apprentices in their development through on-the-job training.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a reliable, team player who is able to work as part of the Electrical Integration team, with a high attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and switchboard construction.
- Experience in switchboard manufacturing or industrial electrical work – highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AS/NZS 3000, 61439 and other relevant standards.
