Sign for Work, part of Deaf Children Australia, has been a specialist Employment Services provider supporting Deaf and hard of hearing people for over 24 years.
We deliver the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist service, building on our strong history of supporting people into long-term employment, independence, and economic inclusion.
About the role
This role is based in our Bankstown office, with some travel to outreach sites in neighbouring areas.

The Employment Broker will primarily facilitate the placement of willing job seekers into long-term sustainable employment opportunities. This role will involve working alongside our Employment Coaches, ensuring that our customers have the right skills and support to secure sustainable employment with reputable companies. Reverse marketing experience is essential (cold and warm leads) to support job seekers in securing positions.
· Perform comprehensive Reverse Marketing of willing job seekers to local businesses
· Generate opportunities for job seekers through BDM (i.e. generate placements, interviews and vacancies with local businesses)
· Through generating vacancies for job seekers, ensure the suitable roles are passed through to our National Manager for appropriate account management, while also ensuring unsuitable vacancies are not accepted
· Assist sites in meeting placement and target outcomes through strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
· Proactively engage with employers where appropriate to arrange further training, wage subsidies, PPE, pre-employment checks and any other requirements to successfully place job seekers into employment
· Coordinate with Hub Manager to assist in meeting larger employment initiatives.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, labour market trends, and recruitment strategies to offer valuable insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
· Hold a current driver’s licence and have the willingness to travel to other sites where required;
· Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or willingness to obtain;
· Show sound knowledge of the local labour market and the needs and expectations of employers;
· Experience in sales or telemarketing in a service industry is highly regarded; and
· Have intermediate to high-level administrative skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with job seekers and employers.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
· Results-oriented mindset with a passion for helping individuals achieve their career goals.
· Auslan user or willing to learn
