We represent a major Australian law firm comprising lawyers across a number of Australian offices, and including a significant global network. As an upshot of growth, the Sydney office are now looking to hire a junior to mid-level E&P; lawyer.

Environment & Planning The Sydney E&P; team advises across the full spectrum of planning and environmental matters, from initial planning and feasibility assessments through to development approvals, appeals and enforcement.

Position Description

This is a position which will provide unparalleled opportunities for progression, mentorship and skill development in this area of law.

You will gain broad exposure to a diverse range of planning, environmental and regulatory matters and work with a high-calibre client base that includes State and Local Governments, developers, industry participants, property owners, funds, corporate groups, renewable energy companies, builders and financiers.

Your role will include

- Appeals and enforcement proceedings in the Planning and Environment Court;
- Planning, environmental and building matters;
- Drafting and negotiating infrastructure agreements;
- Infrastructure planning, charges and agreements;
- Environmental compliance;
- Water and land use rights; and
- Development approval requirements and pathways.

Requirements

You will be a lawyer with 1 to 3 years' experience, with a strong interest in workplace and planning law.
