About the role

Our Equipment Service Support is a critical part of our rental team. It is up to them to have our equipment provided to the customer in a condition that surpasses their expectations. This includes cleaning, valeting, arrange servicing and complete minor repairs ourselves in a short time frame.

This role is also required to deliver or pick up hire equipment from customers and transfer equipment between depots and to keep to our 'Hook up and Go' policy. This means that every customer that enters the yard should be able to hook up a trailer, or pick up a truck, problem free in a minimum amount of time, the Equipment Services team are responsible for ensuring this is the case and that customers enjoy their contact with TR.

Key responsibilities

- Truck driving requirements, if licensed & when required
- Inspecting vehicles for damage upon de-hire, including damage inspection and documentation, service requirements arrangement, and ensuring equipment is legal and compliant for the next customer
- Booking any maintenance required with appropriate suppliers and making maintenance/repair reports on vehicles/equipment as required
- Faults diagnosis
- Washing and grooming inside of vehicles as they come off hire
- Making sure all equipment is at a high level of presentation and legally compliant ready for the next customer
- Inspecting all equipment de-hired and documenting any damages/servicing required
- Repairs to equipment within capabilities and completing maintenance and repair reporting as required




- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area and maintaining the appearance of the yard
- Demonstrating commitment to OH&S; policies, procedures and regulations

About you

- Current drivers license (truck license desirable)
- High standards of work and work ethic
- An ability and willingness to learn
- Systematic thinker
- Strong focus on vehicle presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail
- Sound written and oral communication skills
- A high level of computer keyboard skills, being competent with word and excel
- Practical mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact as part of a team
- Experience operating and manoeuvring vehicles, trailers and equipment safely
