The Departmentfor Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people andplaces in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transportnetworks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-ownedinfrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important governmentservices to our community. The Building Projects Directorate provides end-to-endadvisory and project management services to support government agencies in theconstruction, refurbishment, replacement and demolition of building assets.

This role suits an experienced project managementprofessional who can lead complex building projects, oversee contractadministration and risk management, and build effective stakeholderrelationships. Success requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, soundjudgement and the ability to deliver quality outcomes in a complex environment.

Educational Qualifications / Licences

- Technical or construction related qualification is not essential but preferred; however, proven project management experience in construction industry projects is essential.

Special Conditions

- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC)



is required prior to employmentwith the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewedevery five years before expiry.
- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
