Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role will be part of a high performing team, playing a key role in keeping the engine running smoothly.

From delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, your work will help tell the story of our business through the numbers. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial statements, ensuring they provide a true and fair view of Honda Australia's financial position while contributing to continuous improvement and excellence across the finance function.

How you'll make an impact

- Lead the review of allocated monthly departmental profit and loss reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial information.
- Prepare monthly GST and BAS reconciliations for lodgement.
- Ensure completion of month end related duties and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and maintain accuracy of financial data.
- Support in coordination of the auditing process.
- Assist in the preparation and lodgement of the Annual Statutory Financial Statements.

What you'll bring to Honda

- CA/CPA qualified with 2-3 years post qualification experience in accounting.




- Experience in a chartered accounting firm will be highly regarded.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and an understanding of office 365 products (Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to demonstrate an innovative mindset for continuous improvements.
- Experience in preparation of statutory financial reporting, including ASIC requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Understanding of IFRS 16 and exposure to SAP is beneficial.
