A hands-on, field-based Technical Service Engineer role within the food processing and packaging equipment sector. This position focuses on installing, commissioning, maintaining, and supporting complex processing machinery while working closely with customers, internal teams, and suppliers across a national footprint.

Role Responsibilities:

- Install, commission, service, and maintain food processing and packaging equipment
- Provide first, second, and third-level technical support for breakdowns and customer issues
- Carry out preventative maintenance, audits, refurbishments, and service programs
- Complete installations and commissioning to agreed specifications and timeframes
- Prepare accurate service and installation reports within required timeframes
- Ensure full compliance with WHS requirements and site safety procedures
- Support project planning alongside service coordinators and project engineers
- Deliver equipment training to customers and internal teams
- Assist with product demonstrations, trials, and technical sales support




- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify future opportunities
- Liaise with suppliers regarding equipment performance and technical matters
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and on-call support as required

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a service or field engineering role
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Experience working with complex machinery and technical systems
- Exposure to food processing or packaging environments (preferred)
- Trade qualification and/or relevant engineering degree (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable with travel, after-hours work, and wide-ranging site conditions
- High attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills
- Current driver’s licence
