Programmed is seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join our team in Salisbury, SA 5108. This is a casual position within the food industry, offering flexible work opportunities for skilled operators. As an Experienced Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in our warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our facility.
This position is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and delivering quality service to our clients.
What you'll be doing
- Operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently in a food industry warehouse environment
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles with precision and care
- Stacking and organising products in designated storage areas to maximise warehouse space and maintain inventory accuracy
- Conducting pre-operation safety checks on all equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintaining accurate records of goods moved and inventory levels throughout shifts
- Communicating effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors to coordinate logistics operations
- Following established safety protocols and procedures at all times to protect yourself and colleagues
- Assisting with general warehouse housekeeping and organisation tasks to maintain a clean, protected working environment
What we're looking for
- Current and valid forklift licence certification or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Ability to work on flexible shifts from Sunday to Friday.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably within the food industry
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to materials handling and warehousing operations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols consistently
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks and operate machinery for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to accommodate shift work requirements
- Experience in food industry warehousing or cold storage operations would be advantageous
