Flowers by Leaf | Armadale

Flowers by Leaf is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Florist to join our creative team in Armadale.

This is a casual role, offering 2–3 shifts per week, with a focus on Sundays and evening shifts. It would suit someone who has floristry experience, enjoys working at pace, and wants to be part of a high-quality, customer-focused floral department within a well-known premium grocery and lifestyle store.

This is not a traditional stand-alone florist environment. Flowers by Leaf operates within The Leaf Store, which means the role includes both floristry and at times general retail responsibilities. Along with creating and caring for beautiful flowers, you will also be expected to help customers on the shop floor, use a register and contributing to the overall customer experience.

About the role

Working under the direction of the Head Florist, you will support the daily operation of the Flowers by Leaf department and help create beautiful floral moments for our customers.

Your role will include

- Creating beautiful flower arrangements in line with Leaf’s standards and the direction of the Head Florist

- Receiving, conditioning and caring for market flowers and plants

- Completing regular water changes and daily quality checks

- Maintaining cut flower, plant and floral displays to a high standard





- Serving customers in store and assisting with phone, email and online enquiries

- Using the register and processing customer transactions

- Taking and fulfilling customer orders through a range of platforms

- Supporting the daily set up and pack down of flower displays

- Keeping work areas, cool rooms and storage spaces clean, organised and well maintained

- Monitoring sundry and ancillary stock levels

- Supporting general retail presentation and customer service standards across the store

- Working efficiently during busy trading periods, particularly evenings and weekends

- Supporting the wider store team where required

What we are looking for To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Demonstrated experience as a professional florist

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of cut flowers and plants

- Strong customer service skills and a warm, helpful approach

- Confidence using or learning retail register systems
- A willingness to work in a busy retail supermarket environment, not only behind a florist bench

- Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation

- Strong time management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment




- The ability to take direction and work collaboratively with the Head Florist and wider team

- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team

- Explicit communication skills

- Available to work Sunday evening shift and 1 -2 other mid week evening shifts
- A genuine passion for flowers, quality and customer experience

Please note, this role does require previous floristry experience.
