Happy Pet Grooming is a private home-based pet grooming studio located in North Rocks. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Dog Groomer to join our small and friendly team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This position is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, takes pride in producing high-quality grooms, and genuinely enjoys working with dogs.
About the Role
You will be responsible for grooming dogs independently from start to finish, including:
- Bathing and blow-drying
- Brushing and de-shedding
- Clipping and scissoring
- Breed and style-specific grooming
- Nail trimming and basic hygiene care
- Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area
- Handling dogs calmly, safely and patiently
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of professional dog grooming experience
- Able to complete full grooms independently
- Confident with clipping and scissoring
- Gentle and patient when handling dogs
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Valuable attention to detail
- Able to maintain a clean working environment
- Valid Australian working rights
Experience with Asian-style grooming is highly regarded but not essential.
Pay
This is a commission-based position:
- 35% commission during the initial trial period
- 40% commission once established in the role
Earning potential will depend on experience, grooming ability and workload.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time position with a stable and consistent workload.
We are a small private studio rather than a high-volume salon, with a focus on quality grooming and creating a comfortable environment for both groomers and pets.
Working days and hours can be discussed with the successful candidate.
