ROC Skin & Body is a Melbourne CBD clinic focused on acne, congestion, professional extraction and skin recovery.
I’m looking for someone experienced and confident with clients, but still curious, eager to learn and very particular about the quality of their work.
You notice the small things. Changes in the skin. How it recovered from the last treatment. When something doesn’t look quite right. You check your work before moving on and keep proper treatment notes without needing to be reminded.
That attention to detail matters a lot to me.
What you’ll get at ROC:
You’ll work directly with me and receive paid 1:1 training and mentoring in acne assessment, professional extraction, treatment planning and skin recovery.
I’ve worked with skin for more than 10 years and still treat clients myself. I’ll show you how I read skin, why I choose one treatment over another, when I change a plan — and sometimes when I decide to do less.
I don’t want you simply following protocols.
I want to help you become valuable enough to make those decisions yourself.
The role includes
- $34–$42/hr super, based on experience and capability
- Commission on retail/product sales
- Performance bonuses as you take on more responsibility and build your client base
- Paid 1:1 training and mentoring
- Flexible 2–4 days per week
- No Sundays
- Opportunity for more hours, responsibility and higher earning potential as ROC grows
There’s no pressure to push products or treatments clients don’t need.
If something will genuinely help them, recommend it. If it won’t, don’t sell it.
I’d rather build long-term trust with a client than make another sale today.
Who I’m looking for:
You’ll need an appropriate Beauty Therapy, Dermal Therapy or equivalent qualification and professional experience working directly with skin and clients.
Experience with acne, extraction, peels or corrective skin treatments is a strong advantage.
But I’m not looking for the person who can list the most machines on their CV.
I’m looking for someone who is mature, reliable, extremely detail-oriented and genuinely wants to become better at skin.
Someone experienced enough to be confident, but still comfortable saying: “I don’t know. Can you show me?” :)
About ROC
I started ROC Skin & Body in 2017 and I’m still very hands-on in the clinic.
So whoever joins ROC will work closely with me rather than being handed over to a generic training program.
As your skills and judgement develop, I’ll give you more autonomy and responsibility.
Ultimately, I’m looking for someone I can invest in, share what I’ve learned with and eventually trust completely with ROC clients.
If you’re already a good therapist but want to become really good at understanding and treating skin, I’d genuinely like to meet you.
