ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development (L&D;) Officer to join our People team on a fixed-term parental leave cover. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination, delivery and administration of learning and development initiatives across the organisation. You will design and facilitate training programs, manage external training providers, maintain training records and compliance requirements, and help build organisational capability through effective learning solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Establish and maintain a comprehensive L&D; framework aligned to business objectives, succession planning and talent development initiatives, including skills gap analysis and capability development planning.
- Identify and implement innovative learning solutions and best-practice training methodologies, designing engaging learning materials, assessments and resources that support organisational capability development.
- Facilitate and deliver internal training programs across the organisation.
- Coordinate internal and external training programs, including scheduling, provider management,



logistics, resources and participant requirements.
- Manage training records, enrolments and compliance requirements, ensuring all mandatory training and recurrency obligations are maintained.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, reporting and data analysis, recommending continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support departments in developing and maintaining role-specific learning resources and training documentation.
- Support the organisation's Safety Management System through active participation in safety initiatives, compliance activities and risk mitigation processes.
- Collaborate with the broader People Services team to foster a positive, compliant and high-performing workplace culture.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR





Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE), required

Tertiary qualification in HR, Training, Communications, or a related field (preferred)

Minimum 2 years' experience in a Learning & Development or similar role

Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS), ELMO preferred

Proficiency in training design tools (Chameleon), Canva, and MS Office particularly Excel (intermediate or greater)

Positive and enthusiastic, with solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure; aviation safety knowledge highly regarded.

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to deliver training and support learning initiatives across multiple business locations, as required.

Eligibility requirements

Must have full working rights in Australia, and meet all airport security/vaccination requirements.

Willingness to complete Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Screen and provide a current Police Clearance.
