About the Participant

We are seeking female High Intensity Support Workers (including those with nursing or health backgrounds) to provide consistent, professional, and compassionate care to a female participant living with complex health needs, including coeliac disease. She requires full support with personal care, high-intensity health management, and daily living tasks. The participant lives in a home with an indoor cat, so applicants must be comfortable around pets.

About the Role

You will provide

- Personal care and safe transfers from bed to wheelchair
- Management of diabetes (including insulin), asthma, wound care, and dietary needs (coeliac-safe meals)
- Support with daily living tasks and light household duties while the participant rests
- Accompaniment to appointments via wheelchair-accessible taxis
- Warm, engaging support with empathy and a sense of humour

Requirements

- Female applicants only
- Experience supporting adults with complex health needs, stroke, or similar conditions
- Background or studies in nursing, allied health, or complex care (desirable)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (mandatory)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Manual Handling training




- Comfortable working in a home with an indoor cat
- Ability to work scheduled shadow and ongoing shifts
- Warm, caring personality with ability to build rapport

Hours

- Day Shift 9:00am – 5:00pm, every day
- Sleepover Shift: 5:00pm – 11:00pm, Sleepover 7am - 9am every day

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: $41.00 – $100.00 per hour
