Sun Pharmaceutical's supply chain is focused at two sites in Australia and starts with agricultural operations in Tasmania that cultivate, harvest and process poppy crops, through to highly regulated extraction and value adding manufacturing operations in Victoria.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated person to become an integral part of an experienced team of Field Officers servicing alkaloid poppy growers in Tasmania, gain the understanding and provide agronomy on a unique crop of global importance.

Key Duties

- Responsible for achieving defined area targets and crop types via the identification of suitable growers and paddocks.





- Contract and provide agronomic advice for production of alkaloid poppy crops.

- Liaise with growers and contractors to achieve optimal inputs in regard to crop production, including paddock preparation, planting, spraying, irrigation and crop harvesting

- Communicate with associated parties including but not limited to; Growers, Contractors, Sun Staff, PАСВ, PGT.

- To ensure that the crop is prepared, sown, fertilised, sprayed, irrigated and harvested according to valuable agricultural practice, and in accordance with the company’s recommendations and requirements.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

- Degree in Agricultural Science or similar is desirable.

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related industry.

- Strong people skills with all levels of the organisation and growers.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate whose work location / production area within Tasmania is negotiable.
