Role Description This is a full-time remote Field Service Technician role responsible for supporting customers with on-site and field-based forklift service across designated regions. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing routine maintenance, repairs, and safety checks on a variety of forklift models, and completing service reports and documentation accurately. The role involves traveling to customer locations, liaising with operations and parts teams, and communicating clearly with customers about work performed, recommended repairs, and equipment care.

The technician will also follow company procedures, adhere to safety standards,



manage tools and service vehicles responsibly, and contribute to continuous improvement in service quality.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience servicing forklifts, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery.
- Ability to diagnose faults, interpret technical manuals, and use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Sound understanding of hydraulic systems, basic electronics, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Solid communication and customer service skills to explain technical issues and build qualified relationships.
- Good time management, self-motivation, and ability to work independently in a remote, field-based environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned regions; safe driving record preferred.
- Trade qualification (e.g., diesel mechanic, automotive technician, plant mechanic) or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and commitment to safe work practices.
- Basic computer skills for completing digital service reports, using mobile apps, and accessing technical information.
- Experience with forklifts or material handling equipment is highly advantageous; manufacturer training or certifications are a plus.
