About the role

This full-time Building Services Supervisor role with Geraldton Building Services & Cabinets Pty Ltd offers an exciting opportunity to join an established construction company in Exmouth, WA. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What you’ll be doing

- Supervise and coordinate building maintenance staff, trades and contractors to ensure projects and maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors to meet project and maintenance priorities.
- Prioritise and respond to maintenance requests within agreed service levels and timeframes.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, site presentation, cleanliness and safety across all works.
- Monitor work progress, quality, costs and timeframes, taking proactive action to address issues as they arise.




- Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, legislation, safety requirements, specifications and company policies.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Building Services Manager and clients.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to coordinate works and resolve issues efficiently.
- Review and identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and service delivery, including implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide effective leadership, direction and support to maintenance teams, promoting a positive and accountable work environment.

What we’re looking for

- Minimum 5 years’ residential building experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within construction, building maintenance or a related industry.
- Relevant trade qualification or industry certification.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, tools and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple trades, subcontractors, suppliers and competing priorities.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and respond effectively to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead crews and build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, quality workmanship and compliance.
- Sound computer skills and confidence using construction, maintenance or project management systems (highly desirable).
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Diploma of Building and Construction or similar qualification (desirable).
