Joining the Meli Finance team offers the opportunity to do more than just report numbers. As a Finance Business Partner, you'll work closely with operational leaders across a diverse range of community services, helping shape strategic decisions, improve service sustainability, secure funding and maximise resources to deliver positive outcomes for the people and communities we support. You'll act as a trusted advisor, connecting financial insight with service delivery to help leaders make informed decisions that strengthen outcomes across the organisation.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will:

- Translate financial and operational data into clear insights that guide decisions.
- Partner with service leaders to strengthen financial capability and performance.
- Lead accurate budgeting, forecasting and reporting across allocated services.
- Improve financial processes that support sustainable, high-quality services.

Position Details

- Full time, fixed term position until 29 October 2027
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $115,616 p/a Super Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

- Relevant Commerce or Business Degree, and professional industry membership with CPA Australia,



Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand or National Institute of Accountants
- Demonstrated experience in an accounting position in a complex organisational environment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge in accounting with Australian Accounting Standards, relevant legislation, and codes of practice.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with service delivery stakeholders, with an emphasis on business partnering.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting and monthly financial reporting analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, seasoned business judgment and commercial acumen.
- Ability to synthesise business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes, meet deadlines and manage workloads with competing priorities.
- Ability to work flexibly and creatively in a Not-for-Profit setting.
