The Opportunity

We are seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while also becoming an important commercial and operational partner to the Director.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys operating across more than just traditional accounting. In addition to managing the financial function, the role will have exposure to business operations, performance reporting, process improvement, system development and implementation, budgeting, cash flow management and the general running of the business.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Director and other stakeholders, providing financial insight and helping build the infrastructure required to support continued growth and future acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance and accounting function.

- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payments and reconciliations.

- Daily processing and ownership of all bank accounts.

- Maintain accurate and timely financial records and ensure the integrity of the accounting systems.





- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and key performance metrics.

- Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes.

- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and operating expenses..

- Identify financial trends, variances and areas requiring attention.

- Liaise with external accountants, tax advisers and other professional advisers as required.

- Ensure appropriate compliance with relevant taxation, accounting and statutory requirements.

- Work closely with the Director to provide meaningful financial insight and support decision-making.

- Support business planning and growth initiatives.

- Develop financial models and analysis to support management decisions.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, systems and operational efficiency.

- Assist with implementing and embedding scalable business processes.

- Support the implementation and optimisation of finance and business systems.

- Assist with ad hoc operational and strategic projects as the business grows.

- Help establish consistent financial controls and reporting across an expanding group.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable operating in a growing business where the role extends beyond traditional accounting.

You will ideally have

- Relevant accounting or finance qualifications (CA/CPA or equivalent preferred).

- Several years' experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a professional services or similarly quick-paced environment.

- Solid technical accounting and financial management skills.





- Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting.

- Strong Excel / financial modelling capabilities.

- A high level of attention to detail and financial accuracy.

- The ability to translate financial information into practical business insights.

- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders.

- A proactive, commercially focused approach to problem solving.

- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the finance function.

- An interest in business operations, process improvement and growth.

- The ability to manage competing priorities in a growing and evolving environment.
